THE DIVINE FEMININE AND THE LAW OF MANIFESTATION
by Aeptha
Excerpt from Sunday Service
October 4, 2009
We have been called today to work with the power and
potency of the Goddess, the underlying foundation from which
manifestation and creation have always flowed.
We should remember that manifestation is not only the
seeding and the sending forth of new growth, but that at the right time
-- as reflected around us in the falling leaves -- there is also the
shedding of that which has served so that new life can come forward.
And in some cases that shedding actually appears to us as death
and destruction.
There are times that we must have the courage to cut
away that which no longer serves, to let the old fall away so that there
can be new growth and new beginnings.
And this takes love because the ultimate call of the Goddess
concerns the Law of Sacrifice.
The sacrifice that I am speaking of – and I will use a
caveat here -- to the best of the understanding that I can grasp at this
point, being that I am ever open to growth and to change and a
multiplicity of possibility of expressions – but the sacrifice that I am
speaking of is what the personality experiences as we allow Spirit to
fully express through all aspects of our beingness. At the level of the personality that is an experience of sacrifice.
The more that we surrender to our Higher Self, to our Solar Angel, to
our Soul, and allow ourselves to be Soul-infused, the more the
personality experiences the death, destruction, limitation and the
disciplining of all the things that it wants. And it experiences this as
sacrifice. But it is through this experience of having no-thing that you
then grasp all things because the nature of our personality is the
experience of its own individuality; the releasing, the sacrifice of
that individuality is the embracing of the whole.
And it is through the embracing of the whole that the doorway of
manifestation opens and the law of love and life follows.
This moon is a harvest moon.
It is the gathering of community and the kingdoms that have
offered us food have sacrificed themselves so that we have life.
In the stories of creation there is an omnipotent,
omnipresent consciousness that narrows itself down so that it can move
further and further out until it expresses as a single point – I always
see it as a funnel coming in -- so that it holds that space of expanded
consciousness but brings itself down to a point so that manifestation
can occur. This is the
sacrifice of itself in order that life can come forward and then through
that life it knows Itself.
And then that life comes to know itself as divine – again sacrifice.
Many esotericists see the Great Mother, the World
Mother, as being an office, a title, not unlike the way that The Christ
is a title. And through the
ages, through the eons, there have been certain Beings that have come
into form, just as Jesus came into form and embodied the authority and
the title of the Christ, so there have been those who have come into
form and embodied and taken on the title of the World Mother.
And it is said that in general in this particular age the one who
is the focal point of that energy is Mary, the mother of Yeshua and Mary
Magdalene. And there are
others in different traditions that carry that title. But of course what
has happened is that in our human way we have taken that interpretation
of who Mary is, or who Mary Magdalene is, or who Our Lady of Guadalupe
is, and then we have limited that.
It is said that the World Mother is beginning to
unveil Herself. We all know
that there is an awareness that the worship of the Great Mother, of the
Divine Feminine, has always been there, but as we know it became more
and more subjugated. It is
also said that in the Atlantean period there was a much more interactive
relationship with the Divine Feminine principle, with the vehicles of
manifestation of law and of life, but there was also abuse and this
abuse led to the destruction of Atlantis with only a few surviving to
carry those seeds forward.
It was at that time that, so to speak, Isis became veiled, that the
World Mother veiled herself until we had garnered more wisdom to be able
to utilize Her laws, Her powers and Her potencies more effectively.
What is interesting is that at about the end of the
nineteenth century there was an upsurge of teachers that came forward
and started new movements of thought, like Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Dion
Fortune and Mary Baker Eddy.
These women came forward and introduced new thoughts and new traditions
and it was around that period of time that Mary Baker Eddy introduced
the invocation of
Father-Mother-God. This
is something that we take for granted now; even in more traditional
venues you will now hear references to
Father God and
Mother God but that was unheard of for an extremely long period of
time. But it has taken root,
so to speak, and grown quickly into manifestation.
When I was doing the research on this I came across
something that I was unaware of.
I knew that in the Gnostic tradition and in the Gnostic gospels
you would see many references to the Divine Feminine and that the Divine
Feminine was there prior to the introduction of God, the Divine
Masculine, into the equation. What
I did not realize was that up until the fifteenth century there was a
huge movement where they actually had statuary of the Divine Feminine
form -- Maria or sometimes Sophia – which would open and out of the
statue would come God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost. Out
of Her body, literally, would emerge the manifestation of the Trinity.
This was a widely popular concept that from the Divine Feminine
these other manifestations came forward.
Many of us look at the Islamic tradition and may not
realize that this too has recognized the Divine Feminine. In fact in the
seeding from which Islam came there were three primary Goddesses that
were worshipped. But
there are actually some roots in the Islamic tradition that feel like
the Divine Feminine. In the
Ka’aba, the Islamic shrine, there is a black stone that is honored, and
it is said that this stone is in recognition of the Goddess.
In Hinduism and Buddhism the
Great Mother precedes all things.
So once again there is a deep-seated seed of truth in these
traditions.
The World Mother, the Great Mother, aligns Herself
with the devic evolution.
The devic evolution is of the feminine polarity.
Humanity in general is of the masculine polarity.
If you want to manifest successfully then you need both
polarities. So if we are holding the masculine polarity and we are
trying to manifest without aligning with the feminine polarity, then
nothing will happen. We must
align ourselves with the Divine Feminine, and that is more than calling
Her name. Invocation is a
powerful thing but if you are not connecting to what you invoke then
nothing will happen. There
must be the establishing of that relationship on a primal level where
there is no fear of going into the darkness, into the womb, into the
cave, of moving into the chalice.
It is to trust, to know that it is out of that darkness that
light springs forth. It is
to embrace the unknown, including all the polarities of the feelings,
the thoughts, the experiences and the complexities of whatever it is
that you desire to manifest. It is embracing it all and yet not trying
to encapsulate it and it is taking all of that and going into that
fertile womb. It is bringing yourself
as a source of light because that creates the polarity. You are the
fertilizer. You are the sperm.
What I am hearing is that the reason that the Goddess
veiled Herself after Atlantis is that we had become proficient at
accessing the tools for manifestation, but we did not have wisdom.
We all understood the laws of manifestation but we were misusing
the sacrificial energy.
Instead of sacrificing the personality to Spirit, we were sacrificing
Spirit, which is why we misused the laws and we disconnected more and
more and yet we were proficient at manifesting and it was because of
this that Atlantis fell and it was because of this that She was veiled.
Do you know that between 1925 and 1999 there were 378
reported apparitions of the Mother?
Prior to 1925 there were only 14. What has been happening is that
there is an outpouring in the human consciousness across the globe,
including in countries that are not particularly oriented toward the
Madonna energy, because we are being called to a different level of
conscious manifestation, which is the manifestation and expression of
the Divine on earth.
So the kinesthetic experience of the Law of Sacrifice
starts with an alignment with our Higher Self.
I am going to repeat to you what I am hearing from Those who are
standing with us, which is that before we move into our rituals, our
meditations, our contemplations, where we are holding the space of the
womb, where we are entering into the initiatory cave, we must first and
foremost consciously choose to align with and to call to the power of
our Soul, our Higher Self, our Solar Angel – She is not as hung up on
the words as we are. She
will then unveil Herself to us to allow us to truly enter into the halls
of Her Mysteries. Many of us will step through the doorway of the cave
and when we are in the foyer we think that we have arrived but we have
not because we are only in the hall of mirrors.
But She will open for us beyond the foyer; She will take us into
the Sanctum of the Sanctums, into Her womb -- and by the way in early
Judaism the name for the House of
God was the womb - the
word House and womb are
synonymous. She is saying is
that there must be intent and our intent must include
not going in with the
personality in charge. The
intent is to have an understanding of the personality as the wonderful
servant that it is, but to place Krishna -- our Higher Self -- in the
seat of the chariot.
So that is the formula: we must align with the Soul
and do the clearing, the purification and we must do the forgiveness.
I would like to tell you what forgiveness is because that is
another word that we have a lot of confusion around.
Forgiveness is a level of alignment because the forgiveness is
for the parts of ourselves that don’t want to align.
We have to go into compassion for those parts of ourselves that
are not aligned and are in fear, that are holding onto negativity, anger
and resentments. We call in
a down-pouring of light and of love and we let that light move even to
those places that we want to keep separate from Spirit.
And we work with this until we feel a sense of unification with
all of our humanness. And
then we take that sense of oneness with all of our parts and we move
into Her womb.
We call to the great void, to the beauty, the power
and the potency of the sacred darkness from which light emerged, for
light is, has been and ever will be, for darkness and light, in the
truest and deepest sense, are one and the same, for the Goddess is One.
And then we take this fragmented consciousness that is reflecting
its multiplicity of light and we take it into the inner sanctum and
there with our desire, with our yearning, with our love, with that which
is the essence of our being, we connect with the Great Mother and we lie
in the womb of Her being and we pour out our heart to Her and we hold
the seeds of that which we seek to manifest and we plant them deep in
the womb.
I am being shown an interesting image: some of us want
to float on the surface but what
I am being shown is that we must submerge ourselves into Her
being, into the embryonic fluid and then as lovers we join and we allow
ourselves to climax in that union and then we move out of the womb and
into our day-to-day life and we take the experience of that union with
us, just as when you have a lover you carry that lover in your heart.
We desire union with the Goddess for She is All.
And so let us open ourselves above and below and let us take
those parts of our lives, those feelings, those thoughts that we
experience as hell, as painful, those people, those things, be they in
the past, the present or even the anticipation of the future and let us
take all those things and gather them in compassion but we also gather
them with the force of the light as we call to our Solar Angels.
And so we call to our Higher Power for the down-pouring of the
light as we offer all that we are physically, mentally and emotionally
to the Divine. We willingly
and consciously, to the degree that we are capable, participate in the
law of sacrifice which is in truth the law of manifestation, the law of
Love and of Light. Let there
be light! Let us be the
light and let that light now go into all the places of our being as we
prepare to enter into the womb of She who has no name, She who has ten
thousand names, She who is both known and unknown, knowable and
unknowable, She who was here before, who is here now and who will be,
She who breathes the throat, She who is breathing you, She who is in
your cells, in your blood, your skin, your thoughts, She within and
without.
Find the yearning, the longing and the desire, for it
is within you. Reach out to
Her in the silence, in the darkness of the unknown and unknowable and
tell Her what it is that you need or want, what you desire, and be open
to Her response. She offers
healing, strength and guidance.
Listen to Her. Listen
deeply with your heart. Let Her echo through your heart, through your
body and through your consciousness.
