On Pain
and Suffering
by Aeptha
You are all identifying
yourselves as human, and you're not human, and you are human. You continue
to see yourself and identify yourself with victims, perpetrators, and
all of the other roles. And as long as you do that you will not be able
to bring the power and love of Spirit through completely into this plane.
You are more comfortable with the identification of being a victim of
a fickle universe. Part of your learning how to hold power and love in
this realm.
You are not able
to hold the oneness-not on this plane. You need to have the bigger vision.
You look around at the pain, you look around at the despair, you look
around at the inequity, you look around at all of that, and you see it
from your eyes of limitation. You see it from your experience of separation.
You see it from your misunderstanding. You see it from all of that limitation.
There is such need and such power of Light in holding to the higher vision.
Do you know what happened at the foot of the cross? We depict Mary as
being some weeping old woman who was despairing at the death of her son.
No! She was an initiate, an adept, who ascended herself. She held the
vision. She didn't get caught up in the despair of the crucifixion; she
didn't get caught up in the illusion of the misuse of power. She didn't
get caught in the fact that Jesus seemed held in form.
We say, it is Spirit
who is doing this to us. What's wrong with that picture? Spirit isn't
doing anything to us. We are Spirit, there isn't some external force that
is looking down and putting us under the finger and saying, "I'm going
to cause you hurt for your own good." We make up the play.
Question: If we are
empowered enough to set the stage and this is what we have created and
continue to create, then we are in for a long haul, and I don't know how
I can make that haul any shorter. If we have the power, because we are
Spirit, to enable human beings to suffer less or to not feel as much pain,
then how are we to do it?
Answer: There is
a perception here that says "They, angels, spirits, guides, whatever,
do not care". They're looking down and saying, "Oh, you're getting slapped
around again". It isn't that way. What I would ask you to consider is
this: There is an intimate recognition of suffering. Why do you think
that someone like Dhwal Khul chooses to stay close to the earth? Why do
think someone like Jesus chooses to manifest in this plane? There is a
reason for that. It is not that D.K. is making light of the suffering.
Not at all! But you cannot immerse yourself in suffering. You look upon
a set of circumstances and you do not understand, you do not see. I will
share with you from my own life, of which I am immensely grateful. I know
what it is like to be hurt and to be locked up, and it is incredibly hard,
and there's not a one of you who have not experienced pain. But this is
will we are speaking here of.
We are speaking here
of the understanding of a deeper level. Because that pain has shaped me
as has the love. They are not separate. It is because we see them as separate.
Love and pain are all the same pole. Do you understand that? And that
which you see as the greatest of pain holds the greatest of love, and
that which holds the greatest of love holds the greatest of pain. Do you
now know that was the message of the Christ? What has shaped me now, has
been the love of the pain and the pain in the love. You cannot have one
without the other, because they are both the same. And that is alchemy,
and when you come to understand that you will no longer reside in Malkuth
(the earth plane). You will rise to Tiphereth (the plane of illumination).
But as long as you see and experience them as separate, then you have
bound yourself.
You have bound yourself
on the gift of the wheel of death and rebirth. Because it is the way of
the Masters, you have chosen the Masters' path. Every one of you has chosen,
as have all. There is not a Soul on this planet that will not rise to
the Master and beyond. And yet you pity them? You pity them? Why would
you pity that? Why would you not celebrate that? It is because you misunderstand.
And you take your misunderstanding and you turn it into dogma. And you
wear it around you like a chain. And then you wonder why you feel powerless.
And you look outside of you and say; "It was done to me." We have done
nothing to you, except love you. And love is freedom from our standpoint.
