Orientation August

Monthly: August 2009
through May 2010
The true
purpose of esotericism, the call of the adept to “Know Thyself” and the
refinement of the personality are to experience and ultimately embody
that state known as ‘Knowledge and Conversation with our Holy Guardian
Angel’. Called by many names: the Higher Self, the Inner Christ, the
Master Within and the Solar Angel, this consciousness of illumination
and grace is the most important goal of any adept.
The concept
of the “H.G.A.” is ancient, but the term – Holy Guardian Angel – as it
is used in Magick, is relatively new. It is the true spark of God within
and is the unacknowledged truth underlying the world’s religions. The
Holy Guardian Angel is the divine object of devotion of the Shakti Yogi;
Krishna to the Hindu and Christ to the Christian. On the Tree of Life,
this area of contact with the Holy Guardian Angel is achieved in
Tipereth, the sphere of the Sun, the center in us that is our God
Within, Highest Self, or Point of Perfection.
Our truest
divine nature seems almost alien, for it is so different than that which
we experience in our day-to-day consciousness. Yet our Higher Self is an
intense pressure that yearns and longs for union, and it is through
complete surrender and openness to its guidance and instruction that we
can really experience the Overshadowing of our Holy Guardian Angel.
There is
nothing that will confer this blessed state on us from without, yet
esoteric practices are designed to prepare us for this experience,
through their repeated practice. We create a stronger link with the very
unconscious parts of our Self that we seek, or more aptly, passionately
desire, to bring into daily awareness. This oneness is the Alchemical
Marriage according to hermetic tradition and the Qabalistic equivalent
of achieving the Philosopher’s Stone.
Our classes
will explore what has been traditionally taught to enhance and
strengthen contact with the Holy Guardian Angel. Our rituals will be
designed to take us out of our identification with the mundane and
further our union and identification with the Divine.
Classes
are offered once a month on Sundays in conjunction with the ceremonial
services. We will meet at 11:00 am for service, break for lunch and then
continue with class or ceremony until 5:30. Please bring your bag lunch.
The cost is $350.00 and a payment plan is available upon request.
