The physical correspondence of the chakras is through the endocrine system, specific endocrine glands corresponds to the chakra. The actual gathering of the energy of the chakra is seen manifest in the etheric body. We recognize that chakras are both front and back, in other words, the energy of the chakra is not one-dimensional. The tendency is to think of the heart chakra, for example, as in the front, but you have to think of a front and a back. We understand that the chakras rotate. There are major chakras and minor chakras. They move in accordance with the vitality and the levels of consciousness around them. The tendency is for our lower chakras to be more active than the higher chakras.

At the present time most of humanity is still polarized in the emotional body and the focus of consciousness is held in the lower chakras. When we talk about lower chakras we're not talking about less than. However, there is great need to have balance in the chakras and ultimately the focus to be held in the higher levels. I want to talk to you about the netting between the chakras. There is, for lack of a better way of putting it, a netting, a webbing, that is inherent in the infrastructure of our energy vehicles, our vehicles of consciousness. Our life force, our consciousness, both the higher and lower are connected with that fire that some call the kundalini, the creative fire, in truth a combination of the three fires.

There are three types of fire. You have the fire of friction, the solar fire and the electrical fire. The fire by friction is the fire that is inherent in matter. It is the fire that is created literally by the friction of being in matter. The solar fire would correspond to the fire in Tiphereth on the Tree of Life. It is the fire of the heart; it is the correspondence to the Christ consciousness, the fire of illumination. The electrical fire is the highest fire of all. It is the fire on the Tree of Life that corresponds to the fire of Kether. It is the holder of the divine potency.

Now, our vehicles are electromagnetic in nature. And magnetism, as you know, is a form of fire, is a form of electricity. Electricity is also a form of fire. Fire burns within us as living beings in the form world and as we progress on the path of return we develop and refine our access to the higher levels of the fires. That which you know as the kundalini fire is held in all humans, but for most it is virtually inactive or only somewhat active in the lower chakras. This level is the fire of creativity. That is the fire that procreates. It is that fire that is inherent in life that sustains life, which perpetuates life. That's why it's seeded right below that root chakra.

What is the root chakra? It is associated with survival, physicality. So we have the primal, survival root chakra and the fire coiled. We have the fire of sexuality, the fire of lower creativity. What is the most creative act in the world? Making another human being. How potent! So we have fire of that sexual expression. But there's also another fire, which is the creativity of manifestation. The fire of the solar plexus which is often shown as the solar disc, this is the fire of your emotions, your passions, your loves, your hates, your fears, your longings.

Then we take it up into the 4th chakra. This is the heart chakra; this is the great transformer. This is your Holy Grail. The great healer, this is your grail quest. This is where you take and offer up into the bosom of the mother, everything, where it is transformed. And there is nothing that is wrong with any of the manifestations of the lower chakras. But if not in balance and overstimulated then we are held prisoner by our desire body. So we take it into the great transformer. That's the Hermetic principle. You reach the place upon the path of return were you begin to transform the forces below the diaphragm to that of the centers above the diaphragm. You take the primal, survival energy focused at the base of the spine and transfer to the head, the place of the focused, single spiritual vision. We take the sexual, creative energy of the sacral center and transfer it to the throat, the place of higher creativity and the power of the higher will. The energy of the solar plexus, the place of emotions is transferred to the level of the Soul wisdom held in the heart. This slow and often challenging process is the progression of the Soul, as it becomes the dominating influence of the personality.

The kundalini fire is always moving, always ebbing and flowing in us. But generally, because most of our energies at a certain point in our evolution are focused in the lower chakras, this fire just simply moves up and down in these lower chakras. There comes a point in the development, as we develop the soul contact that this fire responds. It is a beautiful dance because the fire rises to meet its beloved - the Soul, and it recedes and it rises and it recedes and it rises, and the more we have the contact with the Soul, the more it rises. And eventually, as it does so, through a natural progression, it will burn the protective netting between the chakras as it inches its way up. It is very natural, it can indeed, very often does result in changes, but because everything is in balance these changes are manageable. So by the time you have the full flush of the rising of the kundalini into the head centers, that you have - it's like the rising of the cobra there is an opening into a level of at-one-ment. And when this can be maintained you have an aspect of what is called the mystical marriage. This is the uniting of the personality to the Soul. When you go into practices, such as that of artificial breathing or through certain motions of the physicality force, you can activate this fire and it burns in an unnatural pattern, then it can indeed burn through this netting and you will have a lot of damage. And it's not just in this lifetime. Because remember, the encoding can get taken into the next lifetime, and then can cause some more problems. You see usually when we do that, we're operating from the place of our ego, because "I want to be powerful, I want to see". The operative word here is "I." And when there's a natural progression you have stepped beyond the "I" consciousness into a greater life.

When the burning of the webs happens as a natural process you can still be uncomfortable, but you are usually under the umbrella a highly experienced and more advanced teacher and the aura of that teacher can help support you. When you force you have fires running up to those centers that aren't developed. As those centers become more activated, as your Soul contact increases, you reach up, and it is a natural response to the magnetic pull of the Soul.
